About – Compact is a single door access control system. All of the electronics are within the housing of the keypad. The K series keypads are supplied with black bezels only, that can be fitted in the final stages of installation. Replacement bezels are available in black and white/grey, and are free of charge to Paxton registered installers from the Paxton Portal.
Installation – The compact keypad has two wires which connect to the lock and two wires which connect to the power supply. There are two wires for connection to an exit button if required. The cable exits centrally from the back of the keypad making drilling and mounting very accurate. All settings and codes are programmed via the keypad using the master code. The K series keypads have 2 wires which can connect to a sounder to act as a doorbell when the ‘bell’ key is pressed.
Operation – If a valid code is entered access is granted. Codes are changed via the keypad using the master code.
