Here’s a little bit about our Leadership Team, the people who are helping to shape Norbain’s future and ensure we are here for years to come, at the forefront of Security Distribution.
Mark Field, Managing Director
As MD, Mark has the ultimate responsibility of steering the good ship Norbain in all her endeavours. With over 25 years of experience in various roles at Norbain, Mark is well versed in what makes a great distribution partner, and has overseen the revamp of our company in recent years.
With the spare 2 hours he has each week, Mark enjoys time with his family (including 2 rather crazy dogs), following F1 and, for some reason, Chelsea FC.
Paul Isaacs, Sales Director
Paul is our Sales Director, with responsibility for all of our sales divisions and how we deliver our famous Norbain account management to as many people as possible, as consistently as possible.
His real dream, as he is keen to point out, is to be a guitar-toting rock star. We don’t want to be the ones to tell him that that dream has probably passed him by.
Karen Wilson, Divisional Director – Inside Sales
Karen runs our legendary Inside Sales team in our Bispham Sales HQ, helping over 2,500 customers choose the right solutions for their end users. With nearly 50 people in her department, to say she’s always busy is an understatement, but with over 30 years of experience at Norbain, she takes it all in her stride.
Once the working week is over, she takes to the seas in her boat to escape the madness of the security world and get lost in a life on the ocean wave.
Shaun Lenehan, Divisional Director - Named Accounts
A veteran of the security industry, Shaun runs our Named Accounts team, dealing with the largest integrators across the UK. He has a team combined of both Field and Inside Sales team members, and their job is to ensure that Norbain deliver on the demanding commitments to these key customers and their end user base.
Whilst there’s no doubt work is a huge part of his world, Shaun can’t resist the urge to get out on the course to hone his golf skills, ready to adopt bandit-like tendencies at the many golf events he gets to attend.
Dan Bramford, Divisional Director – Field Sales
Dan’s role at Norbain is heading up the Regional Field Sales team. His guys work closely with Karen’s Inside Sales team – nationally, but on a regional basis – to ensure we have a Total Account Management approach to our valued customers, meaning we remain “quick to respond and easy to deal with”, as our customers regularly tell us.
With a young family, Dan isn’t necessarily blessed with the gift of time both in and out of work, but for some reason fills that valuable space getting frustrated watching his beloved Tottenham Hotspur lose or draw.
Chris Hanney, Stock Control Manager
Chris manages our stock control, pricing and purchase ledger team. His team's job is to work alongside all of our suppliers with the aim of ensuring that Norbain are always providing our customers with excellent stock availability, delivered at a great price!
Away from work you will likely find him on the golf course, desperately trying (but failing) to get his handicap down, or using cricket as a convenient excuse for a cheeky summer drink.
Caroline Kitchin, Divisional Director – Marketing & Supplier Relations
Caroline works with our strategic suppliers to ensure that we’re delivering on our shared goals and that they’re engaging with the right areas of the business. She also heads up the marketing team, who help promote our fantastic range of suppliers and their solutions, develop our e-commerce offering, and deliver events such as industry-favourite Norfest.
Outside of work, Caroline refuses to admit that she can’t crochet, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, and can be found pitch-side every Sunday in her official capacity as first aider, treating the various (and many!) injuries for her son’s rugby team.
Mike Farrell, Operations & Logistics Manager
As our Head of Operations, Mike is in charge of the business end of our customer interaction - ensuring our customers get their orders when they need them. Based in our Ashton Distribution Centre, Mike's team are also responsible for delivering our world class pre-config service, as well as any post-sale customer support.
An avid Manchester City fan, Mike's also a keen classic and indie rock fan, and is not prepared to let anyone say a bad word about Jimmy Page.
