Hi, welcome to Pocket-sized Buzz,
a series of videos for the security industry that proves that good things come in small packages!
Cyber security still continues to be a threat within the security industry
as well as in everyday life. Many products manufactured are not secure,
in that they often have default passwords that are not forced to be changed on initial power-up,
or the ports for remote access are left open. Many sites are installed, and critical security updates
failed to be actioned. The industry needs to shake itself up and realise that there is no point
putting in a significant security system if we are to leave the back door wide open. So collectively,
manufacturers, consultants, and installers all have to ensure that products are secure.
A great initiative that looks at just this is ‘Secure by Default’ – check out
the videos on our YouTube channel or get in touch to find out more.
