Hi, welcome to Pocket-sized Buzz, a series of videos for the security
industry that proves that good things come in small packages!
We often advise customers on how multiple products can be combined to solve problems.
One example of this that I’ve been seeing more of recently is the combined use of ANPR and intercom
for applications such as allowing caravans and motorhomes to gain access to holiday parks.
Here, a simple, stand-alone system uses an ANPR camera with an embedded ANPR application to read
the plate and open the barrier from an ‘allowed list’. The intercom works in conjunction with it,
allowing quick problem resolution or to provide ad hoc access as required.
Kits can consist of products from the same or different manufacturers,
and it’s all achieved by connecting the local inputs and outputs to the barrier.
