DA421-GH: Narrow proximity RTE (Request To Exit) switch with green hand logo Activated through close proximity, these RTE (Request To Exit) switches control a SPCO (Single Pole Change Over) relay with normally closed or normally open contacts. Uses include signalling or switching of automatic doors, locks or any electronic equipment, using the SPCO clean relay contacts. Proximity-operated, no physical contact required Simply hold something, e.g. your hand, near the switch and it will operate. Ideal for use in 'clean' rooms where minimum or no contact with objects is required to reduce the risk of cross-contamination for hygiene. Ideal for operating automatic doors or equipment The SPCO switching relay clean contacts can switch other equipment or signal other systems. 12VDC Operation A power supply of between 10.5V and 14VDC is required for this switch to operate, using just <35mA of power. This wide range allows for fluctuations in power circuits and use with UPS battery-backed power supplies.
