Seagate SkyHawk 4TB 3.5-inch SATA Surveillance Hard Drive (HW-A)

The Seagate SkyHawk 4TB is a 3.5-inch CMR hard drive purpose-built for network video recorders and DVRs, with a SATA 6 Gb/s interface, 256MB cache and a maximum sustained transfer rate of 180MB/s. ImagePerfect firmware and ATA streaming support allow seamless recording from up to 64 HD cameras in always-on workloads rated at 180TB per year and 8,760 power-on hours per year. Built-in rotational vibration (RV) sensors maintain performance in multi-bay systems of up to 16 drives, so storage can scale as more capacity is needed. SkyHawk Health Management focuses on prevention, intervention and recovery, and includes RAID RapidRebuild for volume rebuilds up to three times faster than traditional RAID rebuilds. Reliability is backed by a 1 million hour MTBF rating, tarnish-resistant components and a 3-year limited warranty, while an average operating power of 3.7W and idle power of 2.5W keep heat down inside the recorder.
