The D-Link DWM-311-TP is a 4G M2M PoE modem using LTE Cat 4 for download speeds of up to 150 Mbps and uploads of up to 50 Mbps from a single Nano SIM. Its Fast Ethernet LAN port supplies 802.3at PoE at up to 30 W, carrying power and data over one cable to devices such as surveillance cameras, digital signage, wireless access points and IoT sensors. PD failure checking and PoE scheduling help keep connected devices running and cut energy use. OpenVPN secures the link, and the modem is managed through its web interface, SMS event management or D-Link's D-ECS platform (licence fees apply). A corrosion-resistant zinc-plated steel case rated for -30 to 70°C, a DC 48 to 57V power input and DIN-rail mounting suit it to demanding M2M installations.
