The INTERGUARD IGUIC 8-12 is a fully programmable door interlock controller for systems of up to eight doors.

The controller allows the doors to be interlocked in a wide range of combinations. Individual door settings, interlock groups, timers and operating functions are configured using the integral LCD display.

For larger or more complex systems, the controller can be linked with up to four additional IGUIC controllers.

Each connected door requires a compatible 12 V door interface. This may be supplied as:

• An individual IGUIC-12JB junction box at each door

• One IGUIC-128WJB eight-way combined junction box

• A suitable combination of individual and four-way junction boxes

The controller connects to each door interface using two RJ45 cables. Door devices including locks, request-to-exit buttons, door contacts, lock monitoring, indicators, access-control equipment and automatic-door interfaces are then connected to the junction box using screw terminals.

Programmable fire-alarm inputs can override normal interlock operation. Depending on the selected configuration, the system can release the doors or suspend the normal interlock restrictions while retaining controlled door operation.

An integral 12 VDC power supply provides power for the controller, indication and suitable 12 VDC locking devices.

IGUIC Product Compatibility Guide

For standard IGUIC controllers, one door interface is required for each connected door. The interfaces may be installed individually or grouped in combined four-way or eight-way enclosures, depending on the number of doors and the preferred wiring arrangement.
