Surveillance Systems Foundation

Course overview

This course is designed for those beginning in the industry or those who would like a refresher on the latest developments in this field. The course includes subjects on legislation (code of practice), fundamentals in analogue and digital CCTV, the importance of an operational requirement, specifications and ‘as fitted’ documentation, camera and lens selection, lighting, image best practice, system
setup (both analogue and IP).

Course Delivery

Duration: 1 day

The Surveillance Systems Foundation Course is delivered over one day and is lecture based using slide presentations, the lecture is accompanied by both activity based guided practice and questionnaire sessions. Each lecture is approximately 40 minutes followed by the activity session for 20 minutes.
Breaks are offered throughout the day (morning break 15 mins, lunch break 30 mins and afternoon break 15 mins), lunch will be provided (please advise us if there are any special dietary requirements).
The course will conclude with a final practical assessment. A certificate of completion will be provided for course attendance and also a pass certificate for the final practical assessment.
