Course overview

A ‘from the ground up’ course that will teach delegates all the necessary skills required to build a basic network and understand the tools needed to achieve this.

This course will include Network Surveillance products as well as other devices common to this discipline such as IP Telephony, NAS (Network Attached Storage), Printing, Routers and Switches (both managed and unmanaged). We will also cover transmission methods, cyber security implementation and network addressing.

Course Delivery

Duration: 2 days

The Networking Foundation Course is delivered over two days and is lecture based using slide presentations, the lecture is accompanied by both activity based guided practice and questionnaire sessions. Each lecture is approximately 40 minutes followed by the activity session for 20 minutes.
Breaks are offered throughout the day (morning break 15 mins, lunch break 30 mins and afternoon break 15 mins), lunch will be provided (please advise us if there are any special dietary requirements).
The course will conclude with a final practical assessment. A certificate of completion will be provided for course attendance and also a pass certificate for the final practical assessment.
