Norbain's corporate responsibility
Norbain gives back
What we’re doing to support communities locally and nationally
At Norbain, we take our role in the community seriously. We want to give something back, to make a difference.
We support many national charity days across the year – International Women’s Day, MIND Mental Health Day, Macmillan Coffee Morning, Children in Need, and more.
But Norbain’s employees also want to support their local communities. That’s why each year, we choose two charities to volunteer and raise funds for.
The criteria is simple; they must be local to one of our offices (Bracknell, Ashton-Under-Lyme, or Blackpool) and receive the highest number of votes in our annual staff charity survey!
Since January 2023, we’ve supported Sebastian’s Action Trust in Berkshire and The Streetlife Trust in Lancashire.
Sebastian's Action Trust
We’ve raised £X as of the end of Novemeber 2023.
Sebastian’s Action Trust provides emotional, social, and practical care for seriously ill children aged 0-19 years, along with their families. Founded in 2004, the charity’s vision is to ensure lives, however short, are lived to the full.
They offer family breaks at a flagship facility, The Bluebells, in Basingstoke, along with outreach and specialist support at a second centre, The Woodlands, in Crowthorne. Their holistic model of care provides family respite in addition to emotional, social, and practical support.
· Respite breaks and day visits
· Outreach support – visiting homes, hospitals and community
· Outreach child support – one-to-ones, groups, or activity days for seriously ill children and their siblings.
